Music Options
It’s now time to think about your ceremony and cocktail music. There are so many options to consider, the possibilities are endless. The good news is with Quality Entertainment, you can book everything you might need for that special moment. So, let’s get started.
Live Music
There is nothing more romantic or memorable for you and your guests then listening to live music as you walk down the aisle. So take a second right now and imagine what it would look and sound like to have a harpist, bagpiper, a duo, trio or quartet playing Pachelbel’s Canon as you walk towards the minister and your future husband. It would be incredible. So visit our live music page right now to find the live music that will be perfect for your day. And after the ceremony, book the musicians to play right up until dinnertime to keep the guests entertained. Click here to the Live Music page.
Disc Jockey Option
And if live music is not for you or not in your budget then our disc jockey can step in. You can choose from the most popular classical songs of all time or from Brian Henry’s personal recommendations for non-traditional weddings. Click here to see the list of songs. After the ceremony, the disc jockey can keep the guests entertained as you go off to take your photos with some great toe-tapping lounge music featuring Diana Krall, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr, Jack Johnson and many others.
Ceremony Sound and Microphones
A ceremony without microphones can quickly become a silent movie – and one that can last up to 30 minutes. Book hand held and lapel microphones so your guests will be able to hear the words you have spent so much time on. And don’t let the minister or anyone else tell you they will project their voice loud enough for all the guests to hear the ceremony as we have seen it many times where the minister doesn’t want to shout at you and as a result speaks only as loud as he or she needs to for you two to hear. Trust us. If you are having a ceremony outdoors, you should have microphones. In regards to pricing for the ceremony music, there are several different ways we price it.
Ceremony at the same location as the reception
We charge an hourly rate for every hour prior to the start of the original contracted hours. For example, if you originally booked our disc jockey from 6pm to 1am and your ceremony starts at 4:30pm then you will require the disc jockey to start at 4pm for the seating of the guests music. This would be an extra 2 hours at $80/hr. The price would then be $160 plus GST - a very inexpensive option for your ceremony music. After the ceremony, the disc jockey will play cocktail music until dinnertime.
Ceremony “not” at the same location as the reception
We charge a flat fee if you are having your ceremony in one location then moving to another location by car for the reception as there is more work involved for the disc jockey. In some cases, we might need to use the services of two disc jockeys – one for the ceremony and one for the reception.
Service that’s included with the ceremony music
We provide our CD console, one speaker, music and by request a corded microphone. You can choose from our collection of classical composers such as Pachelbel, J.S. Bach, Schubert, Mendelssohn and Mozart. If you prefer, you can choose from our collection of contemporary artists or provide your own music. This packages includes music as the guests are being seated, the processional music, signing of the register song(s) and recessional songs.
Adding microphones
- Wireless lapel microphones are recommended for the minister and for the groom. These two microphones will pick up the bride’s voice so she doesn’t have to wear a belt pack inside her dress.
- Hand held wireless microphones are recommended for anyone reading or singing. Wireless microphones give you the flexibility to place the microphones almost anywhere you need them without having to worry about cords being around the guests. Microphone stands are available upon request.
